We genuinely care about your beauty needs!
• IF POSSIBLE, NO ASPIRIN , VITAMIN E, IBUPROFEN OR BLOOD THINNERS 5-7 DAYS PRIOR. NON-ASPIRIN PAIN RELIEVERS MAY BE USED UP TO 1 HOUR PRIOR.
*(DO NOT DISCONTINUE ANY MEDICATION THAT HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED BY YOUR DOCTOR)*
ABSOLUTELY NO!!
❌ NO swimming , saunas or hot tubs for the healing period of your new brows (7-9 days).
❌ NO hot steamy showers, or long baths for the healing period. When taking a shower keep your face away from the shower head. Before entering the shower or bath, you may apply a thin layer of Aquaphor to protect your brows from moisture!
❌ NO lasers, skin peels, or products containing Retinol, Glycolic Acid or products or any other AHAs over the non healed or healed eyebrow. These products are considered chemical exfoliants and exfoliate the skin while promoting the rapid turnover of cell. Doing so will cause the pigment to fade before its time.
❌ NO picking, scratching, or peeling, as this could cause scarring or pigment removal.
❌ DO NOT touch your brows unless you are cleaning them (or patting) and ALWAYS make sure your hands are clean prior to touching them . Touching your new brows with unclean hands could lead to a secondary infection.
❌ NO heavy cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris (ex. Yard work, cleaning of garage or basement).
PERMANENT MAKE-UP IS AN ART, NOT A SCIENCE. CLIENT’S RESULTS WILL VARY AND USING A PENCIL OR POWDER MAY OR WILL STILL BE NEEDED. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER YOUR BODIES HEALING PROCESS.
✨️WHEN THE COLOR AND SHAPE OF THE EYEBROW IS APPROVED BY THE CLIENT, THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AFTER THE SERVICES HAVE BEEN PERFORMED ✨️
For about two days before the treatment
❌ You should NOT drink any alcohol
❌ Cigarette smoking can also slow down the healing process. For a few days after you will be asked to apply healing ointment a few times a day to your lips to keep your lips moisturized.
❌ NEVER plan your semi-permanent makeup procedure close to a big event or holiday, it takes a few days before they start to look good and perfect.
The procedure is performed with the help of topical anesthetic cream.
For the first few days after the semi-permanent lip tattooing, the lip color will be more intense and darker, and the color can look red.
After about 5 days a target chosen colour will start showing up.
You should plan your touch up control visit 4 to 6 weeks later after the initial appointment.
After-Care:
❌DON'T get them wet for 24 hours
To ensure the glue has proper time to set, and will give your extensions the best chance at lasting, you should AVOID getting them wet for the first 36 hours.
~This including hitting the gym (sweat) or going for a steam or sauna, jacuzzi, fire pit, hot long showers and hot yoga!
* Moisture of any kind should be avoided.*
DO brush them once a day
When you go for your first appointment, you should be given a special brush to use to comb your extensions. This should be done once a day to avoid them from becoming tangled and keep them looking as lush as possible.
❌ DON'T use oil-based products
The biggest warning you'll be given for taking care of your extensions is to AVOID oil-based products!! as they can break down the glue and cause them to fall out. This not only means skincare, but makeup as well.
Lash Cleanser is an absolute must-have product to maintain eye hygiene and health!
It’s better to be safe and switch to a specific eyelash cleanser. You don't have to use it every day but 3 times a week will help keep your lashes cleansed and moisturized, without compromising the adhesive bonds
❌ DON'T go in with eye makeup on
When going for your eyelash extension appointments, is very important to go without eye makeup on to save time!
DO get them refreshed every 2-3 weeks
Eyelash extensions do need maintenance, so to keep them looking fluffy and natural it's best to go every 2-3 weeks. You could book in for 2 week slots (depending on how many you need to be replaced). The longer you leave it between appointments, the longer you'll likely need for a refill.
❌ DON'T pull them out
Your lash extensions will naturally fall out as they wear and, as tempting as it can be, DO NOT pull them out yourself because this can do damage to your natural lash and eyelid!! Either head in for a refill, or to have them professionally removed.
DO have a break
If you're planning to commit to lash extensions long term, it's healthy to give your natural lashes a break every now and then. Just one month off in a year should suffice.
❌ DON'T forget your sunglasses on holiday
I've noticed that whenever I'm on a summer holiday, my extensions tend to fall out quicker. I believe this is due to the hotter temperature making the glue more malleable. So make sure you wear sunglasses if you're spending loads of time in the sun to keep them protected.
After-Care:
❌ During the first 24 hours, DO NOT wash your face or use any moisturizers or makeup.
❌ AVOID prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks. If you are outdoors, sunscreen with SPF 30 should be worn every 2 hours.!!!!
❌ NO sauna, baths or swimming for 1 week
❌ NO scrubs or exfoliators for 1 week
❌ NO strenuous exercise for 1-2 days.
❌ DO NOT use harsh soaps or scrubs or heavy skin care products on the face for 1 week.
