You’ll be asked to avoid any stimulant drinks such as coffee and energy drinks 24-hours prior to your treatment.

The Medical Tattooing Treatment Process
We will advise you on how many treatment sessions are required, but the larger the area to be treated, the more sessions are needed. The level of discolouration will also affect how many sessions are required.

Treatment success will be determined in part by the aftercare protocols. This will be discussed with you during the initial consultation.

If you would like treatment for vitiligo, please wait until it has been dormant for at least seven years.
Medical tattooing is not an option for pregnant or breast-feeding ladies.

How long does the treatment session last?

The number of treatment sessions needed will determine the overall cost, but we will discuss this at your consultation, so you can make an informed decision before you go ahead and book a treatment.

Does it matter if I have a tan before the treatment?

It is very important that your skin is not tanned when you have an upcoming medical tattoo session. Pigments are blended to your natural skin tone, so if you have a tan and then it fades, the tattooed area will appear darker than the rest of your body.

Does it hurt?

Medical tattooing isn’t painful, but the treatment area will feel a little tender. Please be assured a numbing anaesthetic can be used if you are very sensitive to discomfort. Each treatment takes approximately one hour.

Can I go straight back to work after the treatment?

You can expect the area to look a bit red for up to 72-hours, but you are fine to return to work immediately after a treatment session.
